With over 20 years in the publishing and PR industry, award-winning author, coach and publicist Ray Star created Soul Story to help creatives reconnect with their passion and to write impactful novels with purpose and prose.
Having worked with writers at every stage of their journey, Ray saw how often talented creatives were held back not by ability, but by self-doubt, procrastination, fear, or lack of industry knowledge.
Soul Story was created to offer a supportive way to write novels with heart, using mindfulness-led creative practices and the power of imagination to transform pressure into purpose, and create a bridge between publishing and marketing that supports writers beyond the final page.

It is my ultimate passion to help creatives connect with their individual unique stories and bring them to life.
When I’m not writing or coaching, I’m a mum to two young boys, step mum to two teen girls, and foster mum to an array of rescue animals, all of whom are my world.
Books have been an escape for me since I was little and you’ll often find me with my nose in a fantasy, mystery, or a whimsical found family novel of some sort.
Whether you’re just starting out or close to finishing your book(s), I’m here to support you, learn about your world, and help you write the stories you were destined to share.
